About the Event
Presenting your work to galleries can be daunting. Who should I approach? What should I say? How many images should I include and in what format? Art & People are on hand to shine a light on the process from the gallery’s perspective. During this interactive workshop, you’ll be walked through a 4-step guide to presenting your work, incuding guidelines on how to write a cover letter and build an appropriate catalogue Then you’ll engage in role play to practice makingconversations and connections in a real life context. Artists will be invited to bring two pieces of their work for reference during the session and there will be time for questions and feedback throughout.
This workshop is for artists based at Kindred Studios, London. For booking anf more info, contact email@example.com.
" Following up with a note about your approaching galleries workshop at Bow Arts! I followed up with a gallery that stopped by at my open studio this week. I put everything you said into practice, wording of the email and PDF portfolio etc. Whilst there isn't alignment at the moment, I got some fantastic and useful feedback from them. Honestly I don't know if I would have had the confidence to do this without the framework you gave in that workshop. So long story short, thank you again.
"Thanks again for your great workshop at Bow Arts last week! I reached out to afew galleries and agencies I have been meaning to for ages and already got a reply, so I just wanted to say thank you for your advice and wise words."
