Writing & Talking About Your Work (Sold Out)

Presenting your work to galleries can be daunting. Who should I approach? What should I say? How many images should I include and in what format? Art & People are on hand to shine a light on the process from the gallery’s perspective.

During this interactive workshop, you’ll be walked through a 4-step guide to presenting your work, and will receive advice on the different types of representatives and open calls to consider. Then you’ll engage in role play to practice the power of showing up and networking with your community.

Artists will be invited to bring two pieces of their work for reference during the session and there will be time for questions and feedback throughout. It’s open to artists of all stages, whether you’re ready to present now or in the near future, join us to get prepared for those partnerships.
